current flowing through a device is dependent upon Resistance & Potential difference .
For a given circuit resistance does not change until additional load is applied or load is removed
I ∝ V
I = V/R ( R is constant)
Current will be doubled if V is doubled
Hence Potential Difference is doubled
Power = V²/R so power is increased by 2² = 4 times
We can also increase current by Increasing Load / Decreasing Resistance
I = V/R
Then Resistance is Halved
Potential difference Remains same
Power = V²/R & R is halved so power become 2 times
