It may seem that current is a vector because it have a magnitude and a direction. But the thing is, a vector always obey the law of addition of vectors. Since current doesn't obey it and it follows algebraic addition, current is a scalar.

vector quantity will have both magnitude and direction as the current have both of them it does nt follows the rule of vector quantity
therefore current is scalar quantity

bazilah: check ur ans ,,,,,,,current is considered as scalar quantity
TheRuhanikaDhawan: ok wait
TheRuhanikaDhawan: thanks
