We have to find the amount that Deepak has to pay to travel a distance of 20 km

It is given that for the first kilometer he has to pay ₹15

And then he has to pay ₹10 per kilometer

So, for 19 km he will have to pay ₹190

The total amount he has to pay = amount for 1st km + amount for 19 km

                                               = 15 + 190

                                               =205

Deepak will have to pay ₹ 205 for 20 km

So, the correct answer will be option b.

Answer:

(b) Rs. 205

Step-by-step explanation:

  • In this problem, we have to find the total amount which Deepak has to pay for travelling a distance of 20 km.
  • It is given that taxi charges Rs. 15 for first kilometer and Rs. 10 for remaining kilometers.
  • Total distance = 20 km
  • Amount charged for first km = Rs. 15
  • Amount charged for remaining km = (20-1)*10

                                                  = 19*10

                                                  = Rs. 190

  • ∴ Total amount of travelling = amount charged for first km + amount charged for remaining 19 km

                                       = 15+190

                                       = Rs. 205

∴ Option (b) Rs. 205 is correct.
