Given:

The degree of dissociation of CH3COOH, α = 0.2

To Find:

The abnormal molar mass of CH3COOH.

Calculation:

- For CH3COOH, n = 2

- For dissociation, we know that:

α = (i-1)/(n-1)

⇒ i = α(n-1) + 1

- Putting the values, we get:

⇒ i = 0.2 (2-1) + 1

⇒ i = 1.2

- We know that:

i = Normal molar mass/Abnormal molar mass

⇒ Abnormal molar mass = Normal molar mass / i

⇒ Abnormal molar mass = 60/1.2

⇒ Abnormal molar mass = 50 grams/mol

- So, the Abnormal molar mass of CH3COOH is 50 gm/mol.
