if democracy is the role of majority, the poor are jn the majority then why did not poors ruled over the society

Because in America, the top 10% have been phenomenally successful at convincing the bottom 90% that they are all “billionaires yet to be.”


And yes, every once in a while, people do move up through the class system — maybe you intend to be such a person. Good for you.


But the idea that every poor person in America is not a “have not” but (to use GWB’s words) a “soon to have” defies all common sense. We’re not going to be a nation made up entirely of multi-millionaires, let alone billionaires.


The ideal to me, by the way, is not a government that tries to equalize all results… that would be folly. But we’d have a better society if people of talent and hard work were able to work their way up regardless of whether their parents are wealthy.


Unfortunately, that increasingly requires a college education and good health. And that increasingly requires rich parents. There is now less social mobility in the USA than in most of Europe. Which is a terrible shame.
