Step-by-step explanation:

Given :-

E = { Natural number}

A = {Even number}

B = { Multiple of 3 }

To find :-

Find the set B U A' ?

Solution :-

Given sets are :

E = { Natural number}

=> E = { 1,2,3,4,...}

A = {Even number}

=> A = { 2,4,6,8,...}

B = { Multiple of 3 }

=> B = { 3,6,9,12,...}

Now,

A' = E-A

=> A' ={ 1,2,3,...} - { 2,4,6,...}

=> A' = { 1,3,5,7,...}

Now,

BUA' = { 3,6,9,...} U { 1,3,5,7...}

=> BUA' = {1,3,5,6,7,9,...}

Answer:-

The set BUA' for the given problem is {1,3,5,6,7,9,...}

Used formulae:-

→ A' is the set of all elements which belongs to the universal set and does not belong to A.

→ A' = U - A

  • Where U is the universal set

→ AUB is the set of all elements in either A or in B or in Both sets A and B.
