If the edge of a cube is doubled then new surface area= 6×4×a×a
=24a^2
Now, surface area of cube 1÷ Surface area of cube 2 =
24a^2÷6a^2
Therefore, surfacearea is increased by 4 times.
Volume of new cube =2a^3
=8a^3
Therefore, the volume will be increased by 8 times.
