\huge\textbf{Solution}

Given,

A square whose Length and width is 1 cm

As it is a square so we already know its Length and width will be same .

Area  \:  \: of  \:  \: a  \ \ square =  {side}^{2} \: sq.unit  \\  \\  =   {1}^{2} {cm}^{2}   \\  \\  = 1 {cm}^{2}
The area of the shape is 1 cm^2.

Thank you
