Let the edge of the cube be a
Volume of cube with edge 'a' = a^3 cu units
Given edge of cube is increased by 50%
Hence length of new edge of the cube
= a + a/2 = 3a/2
Volume of new cube
(3a/2)^3 = 27a^3/8 cu units
Increase in volume
27a^3/8 - a^3 = 19a^3/8 cu units
% increase in volume 237.5% ans
