An apple is so much less massive than earth so it's effect are negligible
So, earth does not move towards apple because it's mass is much higher than apple

if the earth attracts apple the apple also attracts the earth with equal force (in opposite direction) see, at our level its because earth has too much mass as compared to apple and the earth applies not much but some force on apple so it's not possible for earth to move towards apple
but , theory of general relativity , its clearly said that there is no such thing as gravity , the earth is in a fabric of space time and ground along with everything on it accelerates up ( BUT THAT'S NOT IN OUR COURSE)
so , mass of Apple is less and force applied by earth on apple is less so the apple cannot attract the earth toward itself using that much force
hope this helps
