Electric dipole moment is given by

P = ql

Here,

P = 3.2 x 10 raise to power –32 cm

Q = 2e = 2 x 1.6 x 10 raise to power –19 C

= 3.2 x 10 raise to power –19 C

So the separation between Cu and So4 ions

I = p/q

= 3.2 x 10 raise to power -32/ 3.2 x 10 raise to power –19

= 10 raise to power –13 m
