because any energy converted to another form can't be reversed
example. .when a candle is lit burnt wax gives light energy heat and some vapours but all these three can't be combined again to get wax back....so we must use energy resources properly

yes energy can neither be created nor be destroyed but is convertible and during the conversion some amount of energy is lost which cannot be regain , therefore we need to conserve our natural energy sources.
eg--The kinetic energy from water in a dam is used to produce electricity hence there is a conversion of energy.
