not hundred percent but they will show show some similarities up to a limited extent.

for an example

  • gaseous compounds or gases change their volume when kept at different containers although the mass is kept same.
  • but for solids the mass and volume remains constant forever even if you crush it then also.

so in the above example we saw that there is is fixed mass but volume remains changes for gas and solids respectively. that's why there is a limit upto which every state of matter show same property.
