If f(x) = 3x + 5 then f(7) - f(5) = 6

Given :

The function f(x) = 3x + 5

To find :

The value of f(7) - f(5)

Solution :

Step 1 of 3 :

Write down the given function

The given function is

f(x) = 3x + 5

Step 2 of 3 :

Find the value of f(7) & f(5)

f(7) = ( 3 × 7 ) + 5 = 21 + 5 = 26

f(5) = ( 3 × 5 ) + 5 = 15 + 5 = 20

Step 3 of 3 :

Find the value of f(7) - f(5)

f(7) - f(5)

= 26 - 20

= 6
