Given:

We have  f(x) = x² - x.

To Find:

We need to find f(h+1)?

Step-by-step explanation:

  • First of all we find f(x+1) we can get it by replacing x by x+1 in f(x)

                f(x+1)=(x+1)^2-(x+1)

  • Now solve the above equation we get

               [tex]f(x+1)=x^2+1+2x-x-1\\ f(x+1)=x^2+x[/tex]

  • Thus for finding f(h+1) we replace x by h in f(x+1). we get

              f(h+1)=h^2+h

Hence f(h+1) is h^2+h
