4 cubes each having 10cm edge are joined end to end.
Length of new solid (cuboid) = 10+10+10+10 = 40cm.
Breadth will remain same = 10cm.
Height will also remain same = 10cm.
T.S.A of new solid (cuboid) = 2( LB + BH + HL )
= 2(40*10+10*10+10*40)
= 2(400+100+400)
= 2(900)
= 1800
Hence, T.S.A of cuboid = 1800cm sq.
Length of new solid (cuboid) = 10+10+10+10 = 40cm.

= 1800
Hence, T.S.A of cuboid = 1800cm sq.
