equivalent resistance for series= 4+4+4+4=16Ω
equivalent resistance for parallel= 1/4+1/4+1/4+1/4=1Ω
if it is correct then plz mark brainliest.

When connected in series R= R1 + R2 + R3 + R4= 4+ 4 + 4 + = 16 ohms When conned in parallel 1/R = 1/R1 + 1/R2 + 1/R3 + 1/R4 = 1/4 + 1/4 + 1/4 + 1/4 = 1 ohm

Firstly, if they are joined in series...
We know, total resistance of resistors connected in series is the total sum of all the resistances...
.•. R = R1 + R2 + R3 + R4
=> R = (4 + 4 + 4 + 4) ohms
=> R = 16 ohms
Now, if they are connected in parallel between same points...
We know, total resistance of resistors connected parallel to each other in between same points is 1/R = 1/R1 + 1/R2 + 1/R3 + 1/R4
=> 1/R = (1/4 + 1/4 + 1/4 + 1/4) ohms
=> 1/R = 4/4 ohms
Or, 1/R = 1 ohm
=>, R = 1 ohm
