Answer:

The percentage of pulp, by weight, in dry grapes is 80%.

Explanation:

Percentage of  water in fresh grapes = 80%

Percentage of pulp in fresh grapes = 20%

Water present in 10 kg of grapes:

10 kg\times \frac{80}{100}=8 kg

Pulp present in 10 kg of grapes:

10 kg\times \frac{20}{100}=2 kg

10 kg of fresh grapes yield 2.5 kg of dry grapes which means that in dried grapes there is still some amount of water is present.

As we know that percentage of grape pulp is 10 kg fresh grapes is 2 kg.The percentage of grape pulp is dry grapes will be:

\frac{2 kg}{2.5 kg}\times 100=80\%

The percentage of pulp, by weight, in dry grapes is 80%.
