The use of frogs in cultivation is an effective way to produce crops without the worry of being eaten by insects. Frogs are used on paddy field to reduce the amount of insects that eat on rice.

Thus, frogs are a necessary part of the paddy cultivation. But, if frog population declines all of a sudden, a great deal of threat it becomes for the farmers.

A) The production of healthy paddy crop will decrease. There will be weak and eaten rice that would not be sold.

B) Number of secondary consumers (frogs) will decrease and the number of primary consumers will decrease (insects that eat paddy). This will lead to imbalance in the ecosystem of the paddy field.

C) West Bengal is the first largest state in India to produce paddy. Then comes Uttar Pradesh and Punjab that too cultivate paddy crop on a large scale.
