Given : ΔGHJ ≈ ΔLMK with a scale factor of 5:6

To Find : perimeter of ΔGHJ.

Solution:

perimeter of ΔLMK   = LM + MK + LK

= 11 + 17 + 14

= 42

ΔGHJ ≈ ΔLMK

Ratio of Perimeter of similar triangle = Ratio of corresponding sides = Scale

perimeter of ΔGHJ. / perimeter of ΔLMK   = 5/6

=> perimeter of ΔGHJ. /42   = 5/6

=>  perimeter of ΔGHJ. /7  =  5

=> perimeter of ΔGHJ = 35
