if giraffes changing from short neck to tall neck is an evolution plz justify it

once there was no food for giraffes.
the girrafes with short neck and short legs could not reach the tall trees to eat leaves whereas the giraffes with tall neck and long legs could reach the tall trees and so they survived while the species with short neck and short legs could not survive.Now there are giraffes with only tall neck and long neck.

it is evolution.. millions of years ago girrafe had small neck . they are herbivores so they eat only green leaves from trees so one time came all the leaves that were low got over ...so they stretched their neck to eat the leaves so in so many years their necks length increased by inches these changes are passed onto offsprings .this theory was given by jean-baptiste Lamark so it was known as lamarkism in which he suggested evolution occurs due to inheritance of acquired characters
