Solution :-

H.C.F. of 225 and 60 = (225*5) - 10x

First of all we have to compute the highest common factor of 225 and 60 to solve this question.

H.C.F. Of 225 and 60

    3  |    225, 60
        |_______________
    5  |      75, 20
        |_______________
        |      15. 4
        |

H.C.F. = 3*5

= 15

H.C.F. of 225 and 60 is 15

Now, according to the question.

H.C.F. of 225 and 60 = (225*5) - 10x

15 = (225*5) - 10x

15 = 1125 - 10x

15 - 1125 = - 10x

- 1110 = - 10x

Negative signs are cancelled.

x = 1110/10

x = 111

Hence, the value of x is 111.

First we will take the highest common factor of the numbers that is 225 and 60:

So, 3 l 225, 60

5 l 75,20

l 15,4

Now, HCF : 3×5

= 15

So,acc. to ques.

HCF of 225 and 60= (225×5)-10x

15=(225×5)-10x

15=(1125)-10x

15=1125-10x

15-1125=-10x

-1110=-10x

(Both sign will be canceled)

So,

1110=10x

1110/10=x

111=x

Hence,

The value of x is 111.
