If hydrogen and oxygen are used for fire than why putting water in the fire that is h2o it stops burning. It should burn more

hydrogen and oxygen used to burn are found in air as H2 and O2
but I think that you are aware that h2o is formed of electrolysis of H+ and O2- ions
