If I apply a force on a body in downward direction then the force will increase or decrease

The force will increase because the gravitational force also pushes the body downwards.

" If anyone would apply a force on a body in downward direction then the force will increase"  This is because from first it self the object is experiencing the force of gravitational and when we push or apply force then the force on the object i.e. downwards will increase.
