if i cut a cake into 3 equal pieces, each piece will be 0.333 of the main piece, if we multiply 3 by 0.333 will get 0.999 , what happened to 0.001?

Similar to this is an interesting example-

1/3=0.33333333....      

Now multiply both sides by 3

(1/3)*3=0.999999999......

1=0.9999999......

Thus we can say that nearly no part of cake would be left.
