I lost my leg in a work accident years ago. Right when it happened I didn’t feel anything at all. No pain or anything. Then when ems moved it started to hurt a bit above and below the wound even though below the wound was barely even attatched. This is how it felt until I was on the surgery table. When I woke up it hurt a lot! But felt like it was still there. As time went on the pain became less but it felt like my leg was still there and I could wiggle my toes. This lasted about 1 1/2- 2 years.
