If i take 2g of silver chloride in a china dish and place it on sunlight then write the chemical reaction for the observations?

Silver Chloride when placed in sunlight undergoes Photolytic Decomposition.

The reaction is as follows:

AgCl {white} ---------------Sunlight-----------> Ag₊ {grey} + Cl₋

Thus the white colored AgCl powder turns to grey silver and chlorine is produced.

This is also an important reaction in Black/White photography.
