Philosophy contributes to life by means of thought-experiments.
While thought-experiments don't create all the things we see around us like tax accounting software or triple-decker sandwiches - they make them come about faster, cheaper and with less negative consequences.
That's because things we haven't thought through properly can be very costly and dangerous.
That way “Philosophy”, or the ability to think things through before you act, not only gives you a serious competitive advantage but also increases the probability of success in any endeavour in life, business - you name it.
