Let us take the length be x.

Then it's perimeter =2(l+b)=2(x+9)cm.=2x+18cm.
But it is given 30cm.
So ,Atq . 2x +18=30cm
or2x =30-18cm
or2x = 12cm
so x=6cm.

Therefore length =xcm =6cm.
