if in a triangle ABC, Ad is a median and AM perpendicular to BC, then prove that AB square +AC square =2(AD square +BD square)

according to the pic
using Pythagoras theorem
AB²=AM²+BM²
also
AC²=AM²+MC²
joining both the eqn
AB²+AC²=2(AM²)+BM²+CM²
since BM+MC=BC
AB²+AC²=2(AM)+BC²
AB²+AC²=2(AM+ BD²). {BC=2BD}
