if in questions related to surface areas and volume if they ask to find surface area of any solid(say a cone or cylinder)... then should we use TSA or CSA formula

You have to keep in mind if the 3D figure
is hollow or solid...it is opened from below
or closed.
For eg.If cone has an open base then CSA.

for surface area u would generally use TSA but if let's say a cylinder is hollow or not have any cross sections at its ends then u have to put CSA,u just need to stick to basics rest all will be easy for u
