It doesn't show Development of a country . Since child mortality rate is an important source to determine development of a country, and if it is low means the country is not developed.

Infant mortality rate the is the ratio comparing the number of children who survive and the number of children who dies after child birth. When the rate of infant mortality rate is high it means the country's future population will decrease, decrease in population is a threat to development to any given nation , since population carries all the skills, manpower and skills.
