Concept used :-----

→ First lets try to understand Question, in simple way ,

since their were two candidates in the election, and We know that , total votes in % is 100% , now it has been said that, winner got 65% of total valid votes, that means we can say that, loser got rest of the votes ...

Now, lets solve the problem ..

it has been said that now, the winner won the election by, 2748 votes ..

So, we can say that ,

That, means , value of this 30% is Equal to 2748 , as it is given winner won by 2748 votes .

And For total votes we have to Find 100% ..

Just do calculation now,

30% ----------------- 2748

1% -------------------- 2748/30

100% ---------------- (2748/30)*100 = 9160 (Ans)

Hence, Total votes in the election were 9160 ..
