Accord to third law of motion of newton. Every action has a equal opposite reaction with same magnitufe so jim exerts 2.0 N then it will be same

 \underline{\underline{Given\::-}}

>>Jim exerts a force of 2N on a shopping cart .

 \underline{\underline{Solution\::-}}

•Then as we know that from Newtown's Third law of motion which states that

:- For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction ( takes place simentenusly )

•Then we can conclude that the Force exerted is equal to the Force applied but in opposite directions.

=> Force exerted by shopping cart = - (Force applied by Jim)

=> Force exerted by shopping cart = -(2 N)

=> Force exerted by shopping cart = - 2N

Hope it helps you !!
