Given equation ,

  • 2x + 5y = 17

Solution coordinate of the equation is (k,3) .

Therefore , x = k and y = 3 .

According to the question ,

2k + 5×3 = 17

2k + 15 = 17

2k = 17 - 15

2k = 2

k = 2/2

k = 1

Hence , the value of k is 1 .
