if u take length as 4 and breadth as 5 then area will be 20 --(equation 1)

if u double the length and breadth it will be

=2(4)×2(5)

=8×10

=80 --(equation 2)

from 1 and 2 equation we can see that

in 1st equation it is 40 then in 2nd is 80

as 40 is doubled it becomes 80

hence, if length and breadth of rectangle is doubled its area also will be doubled.
