if light has 0 mass, why is its velocity limited to 3x10power8?
because if a body has 0 mass, it's velocity has no limit.

Actually your logic of application is correct if u consider light as a particle.

But light is not confirmed as particle it can be a wave or ray so the logic u applied won't work here.
