Hey,
I would rather first complete the question, where 4 options must be mentioned,
A) 345667
B) 456678
C) 345677
D) 556789

Explanation-

LINGER and FORCE both have E and R in common.
123456 and 56789 both have 5 and 6 in common.
Therefore, E and R represent 5 and 6 (but not necessarily in that order).

FIERCE has two E's, which means it will have either two 5's or two 6's. We can eliminate (C) since it is the only option with only a single 5 and 6.

FIERCE also has an F, I, and C. That means will have two digits from FORCE (56789), as well as one digit from LINGER (123456).

Option (A) does not work because it has 2 digits from LINGER (3,4) and 1 digit from FORCE (7) (not counting 5's or 6's).

Option (D) does not work because it has 3 digits from FORCE (5,6,7) and 0 digits from LINGER.

Therefore, the answer is (B) because it has 2 digits from FORCE (7,8) and 1 digit from LINGER (4).
So answer is 456678.
