Suppose lipi's salary be 'X'

and Rajiv salary be 'Y'

Then, X=120% of Y

= 120/100×Y

X= 1.2 Y

So, Y= X/1.2

= 10/12× X

= 5/6× X

= 0.83X

Therefore, the salary of Rajiv as a per cent of lipi's salary is = 83%.

83.3%

Step-by-step explanation:

Given, lipi's salary is 120% of Rajeev's salary

So,

Let rajeev's salary be x

Thus,

Lipi's salary = \frac{120}{100}\times x=\frac{6x}{5}

Rajeev's salary as a percent of Lipi's salary = x\times\frac{x}{6x}\times100=\frac{500}{6}\\

                                                                        = 83.3%
