If log(x+y/2) = 1/2(log x+log y) show that x=y

log(x + y/2) = 1/2 log x+logy

log(x/2+Y/2) = log x^1/2+logy^1/2

log(x/2+Y/2) = log (xy)^1/2

x/2+Y/2 = (xy)^1/2

X^2/4+Y^2/4+xy/2 =xy

X^2/4+y^2/4-xy/2 = 0

(x/2-y/2)^2 = 0

x/2-y/2 = 0

x/2 =y/2

x=y
