If m-1/m = p-2 then, prove that m²+1/m² = p²-4p+6 ​

Given:

  • m-1/m=p-2

To Prove:

  • m²+1/m²= p²-4p+6

Proof:

m-1/m= p-2............ (Given)

Now,

Squaring on both Sides we get,

(m-1/m) ²=(p-2) ²

: . m-2+1/m²=p²-4p+4

: . m+1/m²=p²-4p+4+2

: . m+1/m²=p²-4p+6
