If (m,2m+1) is a solution of the equation 3x+4y=26 find the value of m.

just put x=m and y=2m+1 in the given equation
3x+4y=26
3m+4(2m+1)=26
3m+8m+4=26
11m=22
m=2

So, here we have 
X=m  and  Y= 2m+1 
substituting the values for the equation :
3X+4Y=26
3(m) + 4(2m+1)=26
3m+8m+4=26
11m=26-4
11m=22
m  =  22/11
m= 2
