Given : m∠AOQ=70°

To Find : m (arc AYQ) and m (arc AXQ)

Solution:

arc measure is an angle the arc makes at the center of a circle,

Hence,

m (arc AYQ)   = m∠AOQ

m∠AOQ=70°

=> m (arc AYQ)    70°

m (arc AYQ) + m (arc AXQ) = 360°

=> 70° + m (arc AXQ) = 360°

=> m (arc AXQ) = 290°

m (arc AYQ)    70°

m (arc AXQ) = 290°
