Given,
If we divide M by 5 then we get a remainder of 1.
To find,
Probable one's digit of M.
Solution,
According to the divisible by 5 law, the number which is divisible by 5 has zero or five as it's one's digit.
For example,
15 which has a one's digit 5, is divisible by 5.
20 which has a one's digit of 0, is divisible by 5.
If there is 1 as remainder, then we have to add 1 with the probable one's digit of a Divisible by 5 number.
Probable one's digit
= (5+1)
= 6
Or,
= (0+1)
= 1
Verification :
- 26 is a number with one's digit 6, if we divide this by 5 then we will get 1 as remainder.
- 31 is a number with one's digit 1, if we divide this by 5 then we will get 1 as remainder.
Hence, one's digit will be either 6 or 1.
