m = k / √n           .....(1)

here k is proportional constant.

since , m = 6 when n = 4 then from (1)

6 = k /√4

6 = k /2

k = 12

put value of ' k ' in eq.(1) , now the equation is :-

m = 12 / √n      .....(2)

(i) putting value of m = 4 here in equation (2),we get

4 = 12 / √n

√n = 12 /4

√n = 3

n = 3²

n = 9

(ii) m = 12 / √n  

  putting value of n=16 in equation (2), we get

  m= 12/ √16

  m= 12/4

  m=3
