hey mate
here's ur answer

 {(m + n)}^{2}  =  {m}^{2}  + 2mn +   {n}^{2}  \\ 196 = 96 +  {m}^{2}  +  {n}^{2}  \\ 100 =  {m}^{2}  +  {n}^{2}
 {(m - n)}^{2}  =  {m}^{2}  - 2mn +  {n}^{2}  \\  {(m - n)}^{2}  = 100 - 2(48) \\  = 100 - 96 \\  ( {m - n)}^{2}  = 4 \\ m - n =  \sqrt{4}  = 2
m-n=2
hope it helps

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

We know,

4mn = (m + n)^2 - (m - n)^2

4(48) = (14)^2 - (m - n)^2

192 = 196 - (m - n)^2

192 - 196 = - (m - n)^2

- 4 = - (m - n)^2

(m - n)^2 = 4

m - n = √4

m - n = 2
