If m²-1/m=6 find (m+1/m)²

Solution:-

Hi ,

m - 1/m = 5 ----( 1 )

( m + 1/ m )² = ( m - 1/m )² + 4

= 5² + 4

= 29

m + 1/m = ± √29 -----( 2 )

multiply ( 1 ) and ( 2 ), we get

( m - 1/ m ) ( m + 1/m ) = 5 × ( ±29 )

m² - 1/m² = ± 145
