Step-by-step explanation:

speed = 9 km/ hr

t = distance/speed

t= x/9

again s2= 12 km/hr

t2 = x/12

A. T. Q

converting min into hr

x/9 -5/60= x/12+3/60

which means if she reaches 5 minutes early so she can reach the distance on time and same if she reaches 3 min later she reaches the distance on time.

x/9-x/12 = 3/60+5/60

12x -9x /108= 8/60

3x/108 = 8/60

simplified

x=8×36/60= 48/10= 4.8 km
