velocity just before hitting the bat is-

v1 =  \sqrt{2gh}  \\  =  \sqrt{2 \times 10 \times 20}  \\  = 20m/s \\

velocity of ball just leaving the bat-

v2 =  \sqrt{2gh} \\   = \sqrt{2 \times 10 \times 45} \\  = 30m/s

force applied by bat = rate of change of momentum

 = 200 =  \frac{m(v1 - v2)}{t}  \\ t =  \frac{m(30 + 20)}{200} \\   = \frac{50 \times   {10}^{ - 2}   = \times 50 }{200} \\   = \frac{1}{4} sec

hope this helps!
