Concept

The mean is the average of all the data values in the data set. The formula to calculate the mean is (sum of values)/n.

The median is the middle value of the data set. If the value of n is odd then it is (n+1)/2, n/2 and if it is even then it is n/2.

Whole numbers are those number which starts with 0 and onwards.

Given

Mean of first n whole numbers is 27

Find

The median of first n numbers.

Step-by-step explanation:

Mean = sum of first n whole number/ n

27= n/2  [2a+(n-1)d]/n

27=n/2  *(n-1)/n

27=(n-1)/2

n=55

Median=(n+1)/2,n/2

=(55+1)/2   , 55/2

=28,27.5

median values will be 27 and 26.5 but we will not take 26.5 because they are whole numbers.
